The best thing about ocean scenery

Granting themselves scales of darkness & light
(& explosive lapses that dissolve
into new concentric absences),
sealing & breaking packs that sink or resurface
Without leaving scars on the water
(& you'd like to follow them, frolic among them
but breaking against you are waves on your chest
& silences on your mind.)
